The Ukrainian national team in taekwondo (WTF) demonstrated impressive achievements during their participation in the international ranking tournament Austrian Open G1 in Innsbruck. Our athletes won first place among juniors and cadets, as well as second place in adult competitions.
Ukrainian athletes impress with their performance, achieving the following results in adult weight categories:
- Gold: Maksym Manenko (up to 58 kg), Samir Mirzoev (up to 68 kg), Kyrylo Hurnov (up to 80 kg).
- Silver: Kostyantyn Kostenyevich (up to 80 kg), Volodymyr Bystrov (up to 68 kg), Andriy Chumachenko (up to 74 kg), Daria Kostenyevich (up to 57 kg).
European Fencing Championship
Simultaneously, the European Fencing Championship took place in Genoa, where Ukrainian athletes also shone. Roman Svychkar became the European champion in men's individual foil, defeating Matteo Garassi in the final. Fencer Alina Komashchuk earned her first personal medal at this championship, taking silver.
Ukrainian athletes continue to delight fans with their achievements and talent on international stages. These victories testify to the high level of Ukrainian sports and the ability of athletes to compete on the world sports scene.
