Ukrainian karateka Rizvan Talibov became the champion of the World Games 2025. He won in the weight category over 84 kg, claiming his first gold medal at these competitions. The Ukrainian was one of the main contenders for victory, winning the semifinal with a score of 4:0 and advancing to the final, where he again won – this time against Croatian Angelo Kvesic, the reigning champion.
This victory allowed Ukraine to rise to sixth place in the overall medal standings of the World Games 2025.
