Victory of Oleksandra Oliynikova at WTA 125 tournament
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandra Oliynikova won the final of the WTA 125 tournament held in Tucumán, Argentina. This victory was her second at this level.
In the final, Oliynikova faced Egyptian Mayar Sherif.
The start of the match was tough for the Ukrainian - she was trailing 0:4, but managed to narrow the gap. However, the first set ended in favor of Sherif - 6:3.
In the second set, Oliynikova took the initiative, allowing her opponent only two games - 6:2.
In the deciding set, the Ukrainian made two breaks - in the fourth and sixth games - and secured victory.
The match lasted 2 hours and 24 minutes.
Thanks to this triumph, Oliynikova climbed 23 positions in the world rankings, reaching 109th place - the highest in her career.
