According to ТСН: Natalia Richardson made a historic breakthrough for Ukraine as the first citizen of the country to participate in the legendary cooking show The Great British Bake Off. Originally from Donbas, she passed the selection among 10,000 candidates and impressed the British judges with a cake in the shape of the map of Ukraine.
What is known about Natalia Richardson?
Natalia has overcome a difficult path to recognition. Born and raised in Donbas, she was forced to leave her home due to the onset of occupation and move to Kyiv.
Shortly before the full-scale invasion, she found her love, marrying a Brit named Harry, with whom she moved to Great Britain. Her husband submitted her application for the show, without even warning her about it.
The selection was extremely challenging, and the Ukrainian had a chance among approximately 10,000 candidates.

Natalia impressed the judges in the first round by creating a cake in the shape of the map of Ukraine, which earned her a special award.

The couple is raising their daughter Francesca and caring for a dog rescued by volunteers. After the war is over, Natalia and Harry dream of visiting Ukraine together with their daughter.
