According to the report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the information about the encirclement of Ukrainian military forces in Kursk by the occupiers is false. The Russian side spreads such fake reports to exert pressure on Ukraine and its partners.

Over the course of the day, the situation in the area of the 'Kursk' military operation has hardly changed. Military hostilities continue, and Ukrainian forces are repelling enemy attacks and dealing significant blows to them.

The General Staff noted that there have been 13 clashes in the Kursk direction during the day. There is no threat of encirclement for Ukrainian military units.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War claim that Russian troops have occupied Sudzha in the Kursk region and are engaged in fighting with Ukrainian forces in villages on the border with Sumy region. Russia is likely attempting to create a buffer zone along the border with Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the capture of several settlements in the Kursk region, including Sudzha. It was also reported that Vladimir Putin is in Kursk for the first Time since the start of the AFU operation on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Oleksandr Syrskiy, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that active hostilities are ongoing in the area of the 'Kursk' military operation, particularly in the suburbs of Sudzha and surrounding areas.

According to Le Monde, Ukraine is likely gradually withdrawing from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation under pressure from the United States.
