Ukrainian divers won two medals on the first day of the World Cup Super Final.
In Beijing, at the Super Final of the World Cup, Ukrainian divers won two medals. Ksenia Bailo, Kirill Bolyukh, Sofia Lyskoun, and Oleksiy Sereda received silver in the mixed-team competition with a score of 423.70 points. Mark Hrytsenko and Oleksiy Sereda became bronze medalists in synchronized diving from the tower, scoring a record 395.37 points. Overall, Ukrainian athletes won 3 medals at this competition.
On the second day of the World Cup Super Final in bodybuilding in Spain, Russian athletes were denied visas. The Spanish embassy rejected most visa applications even with invitations from the International Federation of Bodybuilding and letters of support from the competition organizers. Russian bodybuilders were unable to participate in the European Championship in bodybuilding and fitness, which was scheduled to take place from April 30 to May 5.
Ukrainian fencers won a gold medal in the women's junior épée team event at the World Championship in China. Anna Maksimenko, Emily Konrad, Alina Dmytruk, and Valeria Bilous-Hrydziak defeated the Chinese team with a score of 45:34. Ukraine ranked fifth in the overall medal standings.
