Ukrainian gymnasts won four medals at the World Championship: details of success.
According to inkorr.com: The Ukrainian aerobics team performed successfully at the World Championship for juniors and youth held in Ganja (Azerbaijan). Our athletes won four medals! The girls demonstrated impressive results in several categories.
- Gold: Polina Mezevych, Hanna Bazunova, Diana Korshun, Maria Fedosenko, Anastasiya Chyhyryk (group exercises).
- Silver: Tiunova Rimmel, Ksenia Mashai, Darya Kravtsova, Polina Mezevych, Diana Korshun, Maria Fedosenko, Arina Gerasimova, Anastasiya Chyhyryk (aerodance).
- Bronze: Hanna Bazunova (women's exercises); Tiunova Rimmel, Ksenia Mashai, Darya Kravtsova (triples).
In the overall standings, the Ukrainian U15 boys team took second place, while the juniors secured fifth place. This is yet another step forward after an impressive performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival, where our athletes also brought home medals.
Successes in various sports
Our athletes showcased excellent results at the festival in various sports: specifically, in judo, they won six medals, including bronze in the team tournament. Awards were also received in swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, gymnastics, and table tennis.
We cannot overlook the achievements of Ukrainian athletes at the Summer Universiade in Germany, where they won 12 medals and placed 14th in the overall standings. These accomplishments once again confirm the high level of Ukrainian sports on the international stage!
