Ukraine won 44 medals at the World Games 2025: how our athletes prevail.

According to FREEДOM: Ukrainian athletes conquered the World Games 2025, securing 44 medals, of which 16 are gold. The competitions, held in the Chinese city of Chengdu from August 7 to 17, united athletes in their fight for victory in various sports, from canoeing to American football. Ukrainian sambists became champions, defeating 'neutral Russians' in the finals, and brought gold to their country in both individual and team competitions. This is not the first instance of Ukrainian athletes winning at international competitions, and soon Freedom will tell about their achievements in sports.

Additionally, new talents continue to emerge and succeed in Ukrainian sports. For example, Ukrainian gymnast Oleg Vernyayev became a laureate of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, and his victories delighted the entire country.
