Ukrainian wins silver at the international judo tournament in Spain.
According to inkorr.com: Yuriy Kuleshkov, a lecturer at the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, won a silver medal at the international tournament 'Super Copa de España de Judo de Veteranos Comunidad Valenciana' in Spain. This tournament gathered participants from ten countries, including the Ukrainian athlete.

Kuleshkov competed in the age category of 70-74 years and the weight category of up to 73 kg, where he demonstrated high skill and earned a silver medal.
Successes of the Ukrainian team
At the European Youth Olympic Festival, the Ukrainian team won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, finishing 10th in the overall medal standings. This became the second-best result for the Ukrainian team since the festival started in 1993. The athletes impressed with their achievements in judo, swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis.
Results at the World Summer Universiade
Additionally, the Ukrainian team showed good results at the World Summer Universiade in Germany, finishing 14th overall, winning 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals. One of the medals was earned by Mykola Rushchak in the 20-kilometer race walk.
These achievements indicate the growing strength of Ukrainian sports on the international stage, demonstrating not only the accomplishments of individual athletes but also the overall trend towards success in numerous disciplines. It is especially pleasing that Ukrainian athletes continue to improve their results at the largest competitions in the world.
