Former volleyball player of the Chernihiv 'Burevisnyk' Mykyta Kaliberda returned home after three years in Russian captivity. His release took place as part of a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia.

On Thursday, August 14, 84 people returned to Ukraine, including 33 military personnel and 51 civilians. Mykyta Kaliberda, a native of Berdyansk, played for 'Burevisnyk' in the Super League and later served in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Vice Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi. In March 2022, he was captured near Mariupol.

After his release, Mykyta was met by former teammates: Bohdan Tatarenko, Denys Kopych, and Maksym Nikolaychuk. Former teammates embraced the released warrior and could not contain their joy at his return to Ukraine.
