Ukraine lost an athlete on the front line
Today it became known that Vitaliy Dodyuk, an outstanding athlete in ski jumping, died in a conflict zone where he served as a volunteer in the 3rd assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Sports Committee of Ukraine on their Facebook page.
Who was Vitaliy Dodyuk
Vitaliy Dodyuk was a champion of Ukraine in ski jumping, he also won awards at international competitions and represented our country at various tournaments. Vitaliy fought his last battle in June 2025 near the village of Novy Svit in the Izyum district of Kharkiv region.
Having died on the front line, Vitaliy Dodyuk left a mark in the history of Ukrainian sports, and his military courage and high professionalism will always be remembered by those who knew him.
