Ukrenergo will increase electricity tariffs in 2025: how this will affect the price of goods and services.
Increase in electricity tariffs
The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKREKP) plans to approve draft resolutions on raising the tariffs of the transmission system operator "Ukrenergo" for 2025. This was reported by the head of the Union of Utility Consumers, Oleh Popenko.
According to the draft resolution published on the official NKREKP website, the proposed tariff for electricity transmission will be 665.26 UAH per MWh, which is 25.8% more than the current tariff.
The increase in tariffs is expected to affect the cost of all goods and services, this will be especially felt by energy-intensive enterprises, such as water utilities, which require significant amounts of electricity for their operations.
