Ukrposhta raises tariffs on some services: new prices.
Ukrposhta increases service costs from October 1, 2024
The national postal operator of Ukraine "Ukrposhta" has announced changes in the cost of its services, which will take effect from October 1, 2024. The changes will affect postage stamps, marked envelopes, and postcards, which will now be subject to VAT at a rate of 20%. This is due to updates in the Tax Code of Ukraine.
According to "Khvilya", the new tariffs for domestic shipments are as follows:
- Letter weighing up to 50 g (with U stamp): 18 UAH with VAT
- Registered letter without declared value up to 50 grams or simple letter without declared value 50-250 grams (with F, M stamps): 36 UAH with VAT
Prices for international shipments will be calculated based on the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine:
- Postcard up to 20 grams (A, G stamps): 1 USD + 20% VAT
- Non-priority letter up to 50 grams (N, W stamps): 1.50 USD + 20% VAT
- Additional stamp (P): 5 USD + 20% VAT
These are the amounts for marked envelopes:
- Formats C6, DL with U, V stamp: 21.6 UAH
- Formats C6, DL with F stamp: 39.6 UAH
- Format C5 with M stamp: 40.8 UAH
In addition, from August 30, 2024, "Ukrposhta" stopped accepting cash on delivery shipments from individual entrepreneurs, changing the calculation order for many service users.
A positive news is the introduction of free delivery of medicines through "Ukrposhta" for residents of frontline regions. This is especially important for people in remote and war-affected settlements where there are no pharmacies or necessary medications. However, this service is available only in a few regions of Ukraine.
