The event served as a vivid reminder that the war in Ukraine is far from over, and that countless children continue to endure its devastating consequences. Oleksandra was injured in 2022 when a Russian rocket attack caused her to lose a limb. After the tragedy, she spent more than two weeks in intensive care and 15 days in a medically induced coma. Doctors were forced to amputate her leg, yet the young athlete never gave up hope of recovery.

Oleksandra’s Road to Recovery and Athletic Achievements

Determined to rebuild her life, Oleksandra began training three to four hours a day, five days a week, with her sights set on representing Ukraine at the Paralympic Games. She entered her first competition in 2023 and has since continued to compete actively. In 2024, she took part in a tournament organized by Anna Rizatdinova. Her hard work paid off when she won a gold medal at the Carla’s Rhythmic Cup in Brașov, held from June 5 to 7, 2026. Her mother, Maria Paskal, stressed that
