UNHCR continues payments of 10.8 thousand UAH in frontline communities: who will receive assistance.
UNHCR Ukraine continues to provide financial assistance in a number of territorial communities in frontline regions in August 2025. The organization has started accepting applications for payments in the Sumy region.
This was reported by the press center of UNHCR Ukraine.
Rules for receiving assistance
UNHCR Ukraine provides funds only to the most vulnerable citizens due to limited funding and not in all populated areas at once. Payments available on August 15 are accessible to residents of the village of Velykyi Vystorop (Lebedyn territorial community).
Assistance will be received by citizens with official status as internally displaced persons (IDPs) and those who have returned home due to the war.
Requirements for receiving assistance:
- not to have received similar payments from other organizations in the last three months;
- to have low income (up to 5.4 thousand UAH).
There are simplified rules for groups with disabilities, young parents, and elderly people.
How to apply and necessary documents
To register for payments in the Sumy region, call: 063 182 68 38. They will be waiting for you at the address: Serednya St., 1, from 10:30 to 16:30.
Documents to receive assistance:
- passport or other document with identification code;
- certificate of internally displaced person (if available);
- applicant's bank card;
- birth certificates of children (if available);
- documents regarding guardianship over a child (if available);
- medical certificates for people with disabilities (if available).
It was previously reported that a support program is available for women with disabilities from the NGO 'Fight For Right', as well as the possibility of receiving grants under the 'REMARKET' program.
