Ukraine canceled the restrictions on retaking the driving exam: what has changed.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has changed the procedure for obtaining a driver's license by removing the restrictions on the number of attempts to pass the practical exam.
Previously, candidates were allowed to have only three attempts to pass the practical exam successfully. After two unsuccessful attempts, future drivers were hinted at the need for retraining in a driving school. The new rules allow retaking the driving test on the eleventh day after the last attempt, with no restrictions on the number of times needed to pass successfully.
The introduction of such changes has several important consequences, including reducing corruption risks, decreasing psychological pressure on candidates, and improving the quality of driver training.
These changes are part of the reform of the driver's license obtaining system, which includes tightening control over exam passing and the possibility of self-study for theory.
Experts indicate that some candidates may indeed require more attempts to pass the exam successfully. These changes are aimed at making the process of obtaining a driver's license more fair and accessible to all candidates while simultaneously improving the quality of training for future drivers.
