April 2026 Brings Updated Gas Prices in Ukraine: What Households Will Pay.
Gas Tariffs in Ukraine for April 2026
According to Novyny.live: In April 2026, Ukraine has eight active gas suppliers offering residential rates for natural gas. Approximately 98% of household consumers—over 12 million homes—rely on the state-owned provider 'Naftogaz'. Naftogaz's gas rate is set at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter and will remain in effect at least until April 30, 2026.
Annual Rates from Other Suppliers
Annual tariffs from other companies range from 7.98 to 9.99 hryvnias per cubic meter. Specifically:
- 'Prykarpat Energo Trade' offers an annual rate of 7.98 hryvnias per cubic meter.
- 'Galnaftogaz' charges 7.99 hryvnias per cubic meter.
- 'Lvivenergozbut' has set an annual tariff of 8.20 hryvnias per cubic meter, while its monthly rate is 31.60 hryvnias per cubic meter.
- Gas prices from 'Kyiv Energy Services' and 'Dnipro Energy Services' stand at 8.46 hryvnias per cubic meter.
- The highest annual rate comes from 'Retail Service', at 9.99 hryvnias per cubic meter, with a monthly tariff of 31.99 hryvnias per cubic meter.
Monitoring data shows that monthly rates have risen by roughly 6 hryvnias compared to March. This means consumers can choose among different suppliers, but Naftogaz remains the dominant player in the market, serving the vast majority of households.
The increase in gas tariffs observed since March may indicate a broader trend of rising energy prices in Ukraine.
Amid economic uncertainty and shifts in global markets, consumers face the challenge of adjusting to new conditions, which could affect their financial situations. The role of the state supplier Naftogaz remains crucial in maintaining market stability by offering affordable rates for most households.
