The Ukrainian Karate Federation (UKF) is launching a new program for young athletes - a reserve children's team of Ukraine. The idea was supported by philanthropist Vasyl Kostiuk.

Now, athletes aged 10-13 will have the opportunity to compete for Ukraine at international tournaments such as the Polish Open 2025 and the Karate 1 Youth League to gain valuable experience and improve their skills.

Ukraine's karate team coach, Oleksandr Pikulin, believes that this initiative will elevate the prestige of children's sports in the country, make competitions more exciting, and create a strong foundation for future teams.

Vasyl Kostiuk: 'The development of karate in Ukraine is our priority. This program will allow children to believe in themselves and achieve great results.'
