According to inkorr.com: Fans of the Ukrainian national football team voted for the best player in the decisive match of the European qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup. After the 'blue and yellow' victory over Iceland with a score of 2:0, Viktor Tsygankov received the title of 'Lion of the Match' according to the fans. This is already the fourth recognition for the midfielder of the Spanish 'Girona': 42% of respondents voted for him.
Tsygankov was one of the most active and noticeable players on the field. In 87 minutes of play, he made 24 successful passes out of 29, three of which were particularly dangerous, breaking through the opponent's defense. He also created several scoring opportunities: in the 24th minute he hit the crossbar and executed a dangerous cross in the 66th minute. In the final minutes of the match, he was replaced by Yegor Nazarina.
