According to Novyny.live: As of June 2026, Ukraine has implemented increases in minimum teacher salaries. The base rate for the first tariff category (TR) now stands at 3,470 hryvnias. This adjustment also affects educators' official salaries, which vary by tariff category. Specifically, minimum teacher salaries in June 2026 are as follows:
- 10 TR — from 6,315 hryvnias
- 11 TR — from 6,836 hryvnias
- 12 TR — from 7,356 hryvnias
- 13 TR — from 7,877 hryvnias
- 14 TR — from 8,397 hryvnias
When additional allowances are factored in, the minimum teacher salaries for June 2026 become:
- 10 TR — from 11,883 hryvnias
- 11 TR — from 12,648 hryvnias
- 12 TR — from 13,413 hryvnias
- 13 TR — from 14,179 hryvnias
- 14 TR — from 14,943 hryvnias
These financial changes reflect a strategic effort to improve working conditions for teachers in Ukraine. By comparison, Luxembourg holds the highest minimum wage in 2026 at 2,704 euros (approximately 138,900 hryvnias), while Ukraine's overall minimum wage is 8,647 hryvnias (about 168 euros).
