Russian occupiers are trying to build a railway branch to reduce the supply of military equipment from Rostov-on-Don to Mariupol and Volnovakha. According to the city council, the logistic route is planned through the village of Boikivske (Telmanove) and the territory of Russia. Some sections of this branch have already been built in the spring as an alternative route to the Granitne-Mariupol line.
Previously, the occupiers opened a completed railway from Russian Rostov-on-Don to Mariupol via Granitne/Malovodne.
