One effective method for preserving meat involves using a saltwater brine. To prepare it, dissolve approximately 30 grams of salt in a specific quantity of water. Meat submerged in this solution can remain edible for two to three days.

“Salt is a natural preservative. Firstly, it will make the chicken denser and tastier, and secondly, this light salting extends our time,” notes Klopotenko.

For vegetables, a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and salt can be used for preservation. This technique allows cucumbers and peppers to stay flavorful for three to four weeks.

“These vegetables will taste as if they are fresh, but preserved thanks to the special solution,” the chef adds.

Traditional canning remains the most reliable method for preserving vitamins for winter, ensuring access to nutritious food even during extended power failures.
