Famous Ukrainian athlete dies during battle at the front.
Ukrainian athlete Rodion Pustovyi died in battle in eastern Ukraine while defending the country as part of the reconnaissance group 'Revanche' of the Main Intelligence Directorate. He was known as a talented water polo goalkeeper and was a prizewinner at the national level, as reported on Facebook by the Lviv College of Sports.

After the war began, Rodion volunteered to join the GUR of the Ministry of Defense and served in the 'Revanche' group as a reconnaissance and assault soldier. He died on the front lines while carrying out a combat mission. Rodion will be remembered as a person with a strong character, enthusiastic and dedicated to his cause, inspiring his teammates both on sports arenas and on the battlefield. He was only 25 years old.
The deceased athlete proved himself to be a true hero, dedicated to his country both on the sports field and on the battlefield. His deed is an example of the courage and selflessness exhibited by Ukrainian defenders in the east of the country in the fight against Russian aggression.
