Immediately by 1.5 UAH: prices for milk in Ukraine have noticeably jolted.
In January 2025, prices for extra grade milk in Ukraine decreased by 1.5 UAH per kilogram, or by 8% compared to the previous month. The average price was 18.5 UAH/kg, which is 23% higher than in January last year, and 33% higher than in June 2024.
The rate of growth in prices for raw milk in Ukraine in the second half of 2024 was more than twice as high as in the European Union. However, in January 2025, the average price in euros fell to €42.7/100 kg.
Thus, the decline in prices was almost 7% and 5.5%, respectively. Converted into euros, the price in January 2025 was €47.3/100 kg, which is less than in December.
Global markets also recorded a decrease in milk prices. In the USA, they amounted to €49, in Brazil – €40.4, while in New Zealand, price growth stopped at €41.7.
