Military Cybers Disrupted the Work of the Russian Defense-Industrial Clusters.
Ukrainian cyber forces monitored Russian enterprises and noticed that Russians are organizing the maintenance of military facilities according to the 'Speer formula'. As a result, a cyber attack was carried out against 14 sites. This was reported by the publication 'Army. Inform'.
On the main pages of the enterprises included in the clusters, a message was posted stating that 80% of the subjects of the Russian Federation were attacked from the air after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The action took place on the day of the Russian Air Defense Forces, which is celebrated on July 8.
Organization of Defense-Industrial Clusters
The principle of organizing defense-industrial clusters was as follows: civilian facilities accepted orders for the repair of military equipment, the manufacture of clothing and materials for the military, and their protection was carried out by security structures disguised as paramilitary formations.
Information was retrieved from the internal servers of the clusters. Among the enterprises whose servers were breached were the following security companies: 'Brezhaty', 'Rubezh', 'CHOO Moscow Control', 'Control Point' and some others. Among them was also a specialized enterprise for the production of synthetic materials for the Russian defense complex and others.
What is the 'Speer formula'?
The 'Speer formula' is a set of measures that involves creating dispersed enterprises to support the defense-industrial complex. Named after Albert Speer, head of the Ministry of Armaments and War Production of Nazi Germany from 1942 to 1945.
Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian cyber forces affected the operation of the websites of companies involved in the enemy's defense-industrial complex. Instead of the main pages of these websites, an image of a coffin in the form of a matryoshka doll with the inscription 'S Dnom rossii' appeared there.
A large-scale failure in the operation of electronic services also occurred in Russia due to a massive DDoS attack by cybercriminals from the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate. It was previously reported that the arrest of Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov was the result of actions by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
