A simple way to insulate windows for zero hryvnias: the result will surprise you.
According to ТСН: Sometimes to achieve results, it is not necessary to use complex or expensive solutions. Often, it turns out that the most effective methods are the simplest. This method allows for maintaining a stable temperature in the room with minimal effort.
How to make the apartment warmer
To increase the temperature in the apartment, it is not necessary to carry out major renovations. It is enough to close the pathways for cold air. Even new plastic windows can have weak spots around the frames. The slightest gap can draw heat from the room, acting like a small refrigerator.
A simple method is proposed: you will need cotton wool or strips of fabric, a bit of household soap, and water. The soap should be dissolved in warm water until a thick, sticky mass is formed. The cotton wool or fabric is soaked in the solution and tightly fills the gaps between the frame and the sash. The soapy solution has two important functions: it secures the material and prevents air from penetrating.
Once dried, an even layer is formed that reliably retains heat. And importantly: in spring, insulation can be easily removed — just slightly wet the strips with water, and they will come off without leaving any traces.
The effect of filling gaps
After filling the gaps, cold air stops circulating near the windows, and radiators begin to work more efficiently. The temperature in the room stabilizes — even a small difference of a few degrees can matter, especially in winter and without additional costs.
It is also worth noting the psychological effect: when drafts disappear, the room feels much warmer. The absence of the feeling of cold near the windows reduces the desire to constantly adjust the radiators — such small things really create comfort in the home.
In addition to directly increasing the temperature, it is important to note that simple changes can significantly affect the overall comfort of the room. This will not only save money on heating but also create a cozy atmosphere where it is pleasant to spend time during the cold months.
