In Germany, requirements for refugees receiving unemployment social assistance are being tightened, including for Ukrainian citizens. The Bürgergeld assistance will only be provided to those who actually need it, and the government is introducing stricter rules for applicants. Payments will depend on the person's age and family status, and changes to the system, including a basic income instead of assistance, are possible in the future. Ukrainians in Germany, on average, receive between 357 and 563 euros per month. Additionally, refugees in the Netherlands, including Ukrainians, will also have to pay more for accommodation in state shelters. Additional contributions for obtaining food and other services will also increase.
