Vodafone Ukraine Announces Price Increases Across Mobile Plans.
Vodafone Ukraine Revises Its Service Plans
According to Novyny.live: Vodafone Ukraine has announced a revision of its service plans, which will see average price increases of 60-80 hryvnias, alongside improved service conditions for subscribers. The changes will affect the Joice and SuperNet plan families, with specific price adjustments for individual tariffs.
The Light+ plan has increased from 185 to 230 hryvnias for a 4-week period. SuperNet Unlim plans now cost 520 hryvnias per month, up from 470. The SuperNet Start+ plan price has risen from 260 to 330 hryvnias monthly. Joice and Joice Start 2023 plans now cost 330 hryvnias, increased from 260. Joice Start and Joice Start Special plans have gone up from 270 to 340 hryvnias for 4 weeks. A significant increase applies to the Joice PRO and Joice PRO 2023 plans, which have risen from 320-330 hryvnias to approximately 390-400 hryvnias. The Joice MAX plan now costs 520 hryvnias, which is 70 hryvnias more than before. Prices for SuperNet Turbo plans have increased from 250 to 320 hryvnias.
Reasons and Implications of the Changes
Beyond the price hikes, the plan updates include increased mobile data allowances and more minutes for calls to other networks. Vodafone also plans to expand its roaming services within EU countries.
The tariff revisions result from several factors that influenced the company's decision. These include:
- the need to restore damaged equipment;
- rising electricity costs;
- significant strain on the network infrastructure.
The updated tariffs from Kyivstar will take effect on March 1, 2026.
The list of plans with new prices includes:
- Light+
- SuperNet Unlim
- SuperNet Start+
- Joice
- Joice Start 2023
- Joice Start Special
- Joice PRO
- Joice PRO 2023
- Joice MAX
- SuperNet Turbo
Vodafone Ukraine's plan adjustments reflect broader trends in the country's telecommunications sector, where companies are forced to adapt their offerings amid rising operational costs and the need for infrastructure modernization. This move is common as telecoms globally balance network investment with customer value. While the price increases are notable, they are accompanied by service improvements which may help maintain subscriber loyalty. Given that market competition remains high, further tariff changes may be expected in the near future.
