Inter's goalkeeper was involved in a fatal car accident: what happened.
According to inkorr.com: The goalkeeper of Inter, Jose Martinez, was involved in a car accident where an elderly man in an electric wheelchair was injured. This was reported by Glavkom referencing La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The accident happened on the morning of September 28 in the municipality of Fenegro, located in the province of Como.
The car driven by Martinez hit an 81-year-old man in an electric wheelchair. Despite the intervention of emergency services, the injured man died at the scene. The Inter goalkeeper was not injured but was in a state of shock.
According to preliminary data, the elderly man likely felt unwell, causing him to suddenly change direction and enter the roadway, where he was hit by Martinez's car.
Martinez attempted to assist the injured person and is cooperating with law enforcement agencies to ascertain the reasons for the incident.
