The goalkeeper of the Ukrainian national hockey team, Bohdan Diachenko, expressed his satisfaction with the team's first victory at the World Championship 2025. According to him, this game was very challenging, but he saved all the shots from the Italian players, allowing Ukraine to win. Diachenko made his debut 26 years ago against Kazakhstan, but the team lost. Now he is happy to play against strong opponents and cannot highlight any particular game.
In the first match against Great Britain, Diachenko was replaced by 18-year-old Oleksandr Levshyn, but the team lost. Therefore, he decided to demonstrate his readiness and participated in the next game.
The next match for the Ukrainian team will be against Romania.
