Lost Authority: Biden Found Himself in Trump's Shadow - Media.
Before the inauguration of the new president of the USA, Barack Obama was considered the acting president. But now the situation has changed. According to columnist Peggy Noonan from the Wall Street Journal, Trump is effectively running the affairs in the country.
The attention of the star focus is centered on Trump, who recently visited Paris for the ceremonies marking the reopening of Notre Dame.
'The protocols developed for his visit were in line with those of the acting president, not a guest,' said a former campaign staffer who supports Trump.
Trump also held official meetings with Volodymyr Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron.
Peggy Noonan claims that Donald Trump not only has not lost his positions to Joe Biden but has actually surpassed him. Another former official from Trump's first term stated in an NBC News interview that Trump 'is already effectively running affairs, although he is not even president yet.'
According to Noonan, the change of power was expected. Trump represents the future, while Biden represents the past. Biden's authority has also suffered some damage due to the pardon of his son Hunter.
