Woman sentenced for pregnancy fraud
According to The Sun: A woman who fabricated a story about being pregnant by Son Heung-min to swindle money from the former Tottenham star has received a prison sentence. Prosecutors allege that the fraudster tricked the South Korea captain out of £200,000 and then attempted to extort even more money.
“We believe the woman acted deliberately to deceive the victim,” prosecutors noted.
The Seoul Central District Court issued a ruling confirming the fraud committed by the defendant.
This case has drawn attention not only from the media but also from fans, as Son Heung-min's name is known not only in South Korea but worldwide. It is important that such cases do not go unpunished, as fraud causes significant harm not only to the victims but also to the image of public figures.
