According to The Sun: At the concert in Wembley, BUSTED member Matt Willis couldn’t hold back his tears as he paid an emotional tribute to his colleague James Bourne, who is unfortunately seriously ill.

The pop-punk band performed at OVO Arena Wembley along with McFly, when Matt's voice took the audience on an emotional wave. He stated that James is “very, very ill,” raising concerns among fans.

Charlie Simpson, another band member, said from the stage: “Mr. James Bourne is really very ill, and we love and miss him so much.”

Struggling with tears, Matt added: “We love him, we talked to him and asked, should we cancel the performance? He said: ‘No – I want you to keep playing.’”

Matt also noted that they were considering options to replace James on guitar during his absence. He told fans: “We suggested a few options, and he proposed: what if my brother Chris performed with you?”

“You might recognize him – he was in the video for the song Year 3000. You’d still have Bourne.”

The audience responded with emotional applause when Chris joined the band on stage. Social media users also expressed support for this decision, commenting that “Chris is a great musician. The best choice for replacement.”

Another fan added: “So touching. Love the support for James. His brother did a great job.”

Meanwhile, James announced over the weekend that he cannot perform due to health issues and apologized for his absence from the UK and Ireland tour with McFly.

In his statement, James noted:

“In the last 8 days, it has become clear that I am not fit to perform.”

He also added:

“I really hope to be back soon.”

Fans are actively wishing him a speedy recovery. There were even wishes from McFly drummer Harry Judd, who wrote:

“It won’t be the same without you.”

One fan also added:

“Get well soon, James.”

James rose to fame along with Busted, which burst onto the pop scene in 2002 with the hit “What I Go To School For” and continued to delight fans with many other hits.
