According to UATV: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released a report on February 24, 2026, detailing significant Russian losses over the previous day. Ukrainian forces eliminated 920 Russian soldiers, 4 armored vehicles, 50 artillery systems, and 1,693 enemy drones. These daily figures contribute to the staggering cumulative Russian combat losses since the full-scale invasion began, which are now estimated at approximately 1,261,420 personnel. These ongoing casualty reports are a key metric for assessing the war's intensity and human cost.
Equipment and Armament Losses
The report also provided updated figures on the destruction of Russian military hardware. According to the data, the following equipment has been destroyed:
- 11,698 tanks
- 24,086 armored combat vehicles
- 37,560 artillery systems
- 1,654 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)
- 1,305 air defense systems
Losses within the enemy's air force include 435 fixed-wing aircraft and 348 helicopters.
Furthermore, Russian forces have sustained immense losses in unmanned aerial vehicles, with 145,571 units destroyed. Other major losses include 4,347 cruise missiles, 29 ships and boats, 2 submarines, 79,826 automotive vehicles, and 4,074 pieces of specialized equipment.
