Threat of Massive Shelling of Ukraine: The Center for Countering Disinformation Provided Advice to Citizens.
Russian Forces Create a 'Swing' in Ukraine - Kovalенко
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalенко, stated that Russia is trying to sow panic in Ukraine against the backdrop of the closure of several embassies in Kyiv. Kovalенко reported this in his post on Telegram.
Kovalенко emphasized the following points:
- Russia had been preparing for possible shelling during the winter, which has become part of their tactics. They were gathering missiles, preparing aviation and the fleet. These plans of Russia are not unexpected, as they have already been warned about.
- There are various types of missiles in the Russian arsenal, and this is also known.
- Currently, they are trying to spread information that exacerbates panic regarding the closure of embassies.
In this regard, Kovalенко recommends that Ukrainians prepare safe places in case of an alarm, calculate routes and the Time it takes to get to these places.
He emphasized that 'for three years, considering the presence of missiles in Russia and their plans for shelling Ukraine, Ukrainians already understand the situation'. Therefore, it is important to plan your time and prepare safe places in case of an alarm.
Kovalенко also recommends keeping an eye on official messages, particularly from the Air Forces.
He added: 'Regarding the panic that they are trying to fuel, it should be noted that Russia has been preparing for shelling, and this is part of the war. Counteraction exists and will continue'.
It should be noted that the embassies of the United States of America, Italy, Spain, and Greece in Kyiv were closed for security reasons due to the threat of a massive air attack.
