The defense forces eliminated the occupier Sergey Nifato. He was a well-known athlete, a member of the national team of the Russian Federation in volleyball, as well as a coach in this sport. Nifato was also a candidate for master of sports and a winner of various competitions.
Ksenia Korzhova and support for Russian aggression
Russian speed skater Ksenia Korzhova, recognized by the ISU as a neutral athlete, turned out to be a supporter of the war on social media. She expressed her support for Russian aggression by liking relevant posts.
Korzhova liked posts featuring Putin, Russian military personnel, and the 'Yunarmiya' organization. This caused a wave of protests and negative attitudes towards her from society.
Support for Russian aggression on social media can have serious consequences for athletes, especially during the war in Eastern Ukraine. Such actions can endanger athletes' lives and affect national security.
