Less than three weeks left: some Ukrainians must urgently undergo a re-medical examination.
The Ministry of Defense warns about a repeat medical examination for conscripts
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports that all citizens who were recognized as having limited fitness for military service until May 4, 2024, must successfully undergo a repeat medical examination by February 4, 2025. According to the new legislation, the categories 'limited fitness for military service' and 'unfit for military service in peacetime, limited fitness in wartime' have been abolished.
The medical conclusion may have four options: 'fit', 'unfit', 'requires clarification', and 'temporarily unfit'. All individuals subject to conscription must update their medical information annually.
Failure to undergo the mandatory medical examination within the specified time may result in a penalty for violating defense legislation.
