Deputy commander of the third assault brigade commented on the idea of disbanding the CTC.
The proposal to disband the CTC is met with criticism
Deputy commander of the 3rd AABr Maxim Zhorin shared his opinion on the proposal to create a new civilian structure instead of the CTC. He considers this idea unproductive and non-constructive, as the problem lies not in the structure itself, but in the corruption that plagues it. Instead of inventing new institutions, Zhorin calls for fighting corruption and improving the current structure.
The Temporary Special Committee of the Parliament suggests disbanding the CTC and creating new brigades from its employees for combat missions on the front line. This idea is still being discussed, and the details have not been finalized yet. MP Yulia Yatsik noted that the Ministry of Defense is already working on establishing recruiting centers instead of the CTC, but the number of employees to be sent to the front has not been disclosed. Yatsik considers this information official and not yet available to the public.
Recently, criminals pretending to be CTC and police officers were uncovered, extorting money from conscripts. However, this is not related to the proposal to disband the CTC. Also, charges were brought in court against a CTC employee who collaborated with Russians during the occupation of Kherson region.
It is also worth noting that the number of military accounting violations cases is increasing in Ukraine. In the first 10 months of 2024, over 21,000 cases were recorded, which is twice the data for the entire year of 2023.
