On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the final match of the hockey world championship concluded at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. This time, the USA team managed to defeat Switzerland with a minimal score of 1:0, becoming world champions for the first time in 65 years.

Meanwhile, the Swiss team reached the final without conceding any goals in the playoff matches. In the quarter-finals, the team beat Austria 6:0, and in the semi-finals, they defeated Denmark 7:0. The last time the Swiss conceded a goal was during the group stage, in a game against Kazakhstan.
