The national women's team of Ukraine in 3x3 basketball is starting its participation in the Women's series, which will be held in Vienna from June 12 to 14. According to the Ukrainian Basketball Federation, the competition in Vienna will feature 16 teams, with the Ukrainian basketball players ranked fourth. The Ukrainian national team will include Miriam Uro-Nile, Angela Lyashko, Veronika Kosmach, and Kateryna Koval.
Our girls are in group D, where they will compete against the Prague team (Czech Republic U-23 national team) and the winner of the qualification (teams from Ireland, Rome, and Toronto). Match schedule:
- 11:00 Prague – winner of the qualification
- 15:15 Ukraine – Prague
- 21:10 Ukraine – winner of the qualification
Hopes for successful performances
The top two teams from the group will advance to the playoffs. Ukraine will play against the teams from group B in the quarter-finals. Let us remind you that last week our athletes secured a spot in the European Championship. Participation in the World Championship in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is also planned. Last year, the Ukrainian women's team already achieved excellent results, finishing 13th in the overall standings of the Women's series 3x3.
