Ukrainian wrestlers won 15 medals in Poland: who brought gold at the Ziółkowski memorial.
In Warsaw, Poland, on August 2-3, the 34th memorial of Wacław Ziółkowski in wrestling took place. Ukrainian athletes amazed everyone, winning 15 medals.
Performance of the Ukrainian team
Our wrestlers showed impressive results at the tournament, taking first place in the team standings and winning 15 awards: one gold, six silver, and eight bronze.
The winner in the weight category up to 61 kg was Kamil Kerimov, who brought a gold medal to Ukraine.
Silver medals were won by: Oleksiy Boruta (70 kg); Mykyta Morgun (74 kg); Vasyl Mykhailov (79 kg); Ivan Chornoguz (92 kg); David Mchedlidze (97 kg); Volodymyr Kochanov (125 kg).
Bronze awards were received by: Vladislav Abramov (57 kg); Andriy Dzhelele (61 kg); Andriy Bileichuk (65 kg); Mykyta Honcharov (65 kg); Vasyl Shuhtar (70 kg); Oleksandr Mamrosh (86 kg); Denys Bykov (86 kg); Ivan Prymachenkо (97 kg).
The Ziółkowski memorial is considered one of the most prestigious tournaments in wrestling and is an important preparation for the World Championship 2025 in Zagreb.
The significant wrestling tournament in Poland concluded successfully for the Ukrainian team, which won 15 medals resembling the colors of the national flag: gold, silver, and bronze. These results confirm the high level of Ukrainian athletes and give reasons for optimism for future sporting events.
