Zelensky named the ratio of Ukraine's and Russia's losses in the war.
Zelensky emphasized the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the war with Russia
President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Trump and Macron in Paris, where they discussed the situation on the battlefield and the global landscape.
'We need a just and strong peace so that the Russians do not destroy it in a few years, as they already have. This is understood not only by our country but by the region as well. We have seen how Russia tries to conquer Georgia. Russia still does not let go of Moldova. Now the Russians are fleeing Syria, but that does not mean they will not return. The Russian military presence even in Africa is for destabilization,' the president stated.
Zelensky reported that the updated data on Russian losses amounts to 750 thousand people, of which 198 thousand are dead and 550 thousand wounded. Ukraine has lost 43 thousand soldiers who died on the battlefield.
The president highlighted that Ukrainians dream of peace, while Russia has brought war to their land. He also noted that Russia is trying to seize more territory while the world does not increase pressure on them.
Zelensky demands effective guarantees of peace with Russia as a primary condition for stopping the losses. He also demands the return of all Ukrainians who are in Russian captivity, and to reveal the truth about the missing persons. Zelensky hopes for international support to stop Putin and his war.
The president also believes that Putin is sick from the war and can only be stopped by force.
The meeting with Trump and Macron was dedicated to discussing issues of peace and war.
