Zelensky revealed details of the tense meeting with Trump in the Oval Office.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke about his first meeting with Donald Trump in the Oval Office. He prepared special gifts for the American president, among them was the boxing champion's belt of Oleksandr Usyk. But instead of handing over the belt, Zelensky presented Trump with a folder of photographs of Ukrainian prisoners of war from Russian captivity, showing signs of exhaustion and torture.
'This is harsh material,' Trump reacted, as he reviewed the pictures.
This situation became a turning point and created tension in Trump. Instead of easing the atmosphere, the photographs created the impression that Trump was being blamed for the suffering of Ukrainian soldiers.
Despite this, Zelensky does not regret his decision. He emphasized that he wanted to demonstrate his values and support the prisoners of war.
Zelensky also expressed his thoughts on the influence of Russian propaganda on the American administration. He mentioned the case of false information about the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region, which was actively spread by Russian sources. Zelensky stated that Trump continued to amplify this story, even though it was a lie.
The Ukrainian president believes that Russian representatives managed to influence some individuals in the White House by spreading disinformation. He said that American officials sometimes believed Putin's words, even when their own intelligence provided different data.
