According to UATV: On July 16, 2023, Ukraine inaugurated a new administration led by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi. Within this reshuffled cabinet, Yevhenii Khmara will serve as Acting Minister of Defense. A top priority for the Defense Ministry will be sustaining support for frontline combat brigades, as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized, stating:

“The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will continue all its work in support of combat brigades” - Volodymyr Zelenskyy

On the financial front, Ukraine secured a fresh defense package worth €300 million from the United Kingdom and Sweden—a vital boost to the country’s military capabilities.
