Ukrainian President's Remarks on Hungarian Prime Minister's Actions

According to UATV: Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine's leader, has voiced serious concerns over Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's conduct, alleging that he is obstructing critical European Union decisions intended to support Ukraine. Drawing a sharp comparison, Zelensky equated Orban's moves to those of Russia, which he argues are hindering Ukraine's access to essential assistance.

Specifically, Orban is not only holding back financial allocations for Ukraine but is also refusing to supply military aid. Emphasizing Ukraine's urgent need for funds to boost domestic production, Zelensky stated:

“We require money to grow our internal manufacturing capacity, and I believe this is vital both for us and for Europe.”

Hurdles in EU-Ukraine Cooperation

Zelensky further pointed out that over the past year, Orban has consistently blocked the imposition of sanctions against Russia, remarking:

“This goes beyond a mere disagreement. It is not about this or that reason—the Hungarian prime minister has been stalling sanctions for an entire year.”
