2026 Winter Games Officially Underway
According to UATV: The XXV Olympic Winter Games commenced in Italy on February 6, 2026, with the opening ceremony held at Milan's iconic San Siro stadium before thousands of spectators. For the first time, the Olympic flame was lit in two host cities: Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Games will continue through February 22, showcasing winter sports on a global stage.
Athletes from 93 nations will compete for 195 medals across 16 disciplines, with events spread across five regional clusters: Milan, Livigno, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Anterselva, and Val di Fiemme. Ukraine's delegation consists of 46 athletes who will represent the nation in 11 different sports, rallying under the team motto 'We cheer with our hearts! We win together!'.

The Ukrainian team features 30 Olympic debutants, while 16 athletes have previous Games experience.
