A resident of Volyn region helped her husband escape from Ukraine, but the attempt was unsuccessful, as confirmed by the verdict of the Volodymyr city court of Volyn region dated July 2.
According to court documents, the woman, who is a marketer, purchased fake documents to pose as a person with a disability of group II. Together with her husband, they tried to cross the border at the 'Ustyluh' checkpoint on March 14 of this year, but they were detained.
Court Decision
At the court hearing, the accused admitted her guilt, expressed remorse, and asked not to be punished too harshly. The court sentenced the woman to three years in prison, but replaced it with a year of probation.
It is worth noting that in Odesa, a man who informed about the whereabouts of servicemen was sentenced to five years in prison. Also, in Lviv, an official who was caught on a bribe was fined but released from punishment.
The Volodymyr city court of Volyn region issued a verdict for the woman who, together with her husband, attempted to leave Ukraine using fake documents. The woman was sentenced to a year of probation.Read also
