Participation in Tournaments and the Absence of Russia and Belarus

The Executive Committee of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has continued the suspension of Russian and Belarusian clubs and teams from tournaments. The decision was made at the organization’s executive committee meeting in Bahrain. FIBA intends to revisit the issue of the suspension of Russians and Belarusians at the next executive committee meeting in August.
In 2022, FIBA suspended the teams of Russia and Belarus from participating in competitions due to Russian aggression against Ukraine.
