Zlata Ognevich on the Eurovision 2023 National Selection Panel

According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian music star Zlata Ognevich will serve as a judge for the 2023 Eurovision National Selection. Her personal experience with the international contest, where she represented Ukraine in 2013, brings a unique perspective to the panel. The Eurovision Song Contest is a massive global event watched by hundreds of millions, making national selections highly competitive.

Overcoming Past Production Hurdles

During her 2013 preparations, Ognevich's team encountered significant obstacles. After creating complex stage designs and 3D graphics in Ukraine, they arrived at the contest only to be told by organizers that key elements of their planned performance were prohibited.

"We prepared one act in Ukraine, rendering 3D graphics and building the stage design. When we arrived at Eurovision, we were told certain elements would not be allowed: 'We forbid you from doing this,'" recalled Zlata Ognevich.

Now, returning to the competition as a jury member, Ognevich can use her experience to guide new talents and help them avoid similar pitfalls. The 2023 National Selection promises to be a vibrant showcase, with contestants benefiting from her firsthand insights.

The National Selection for Eurovision is a crucial platform for Ukrainian artists to gain international exposure. Ognevich's presence on the jury adds considerable value, as her personal journey can inform and inspire emerging performers. Strong showings at Eurovision not only boost artists' profiles but also foster cultural exchange and promote Ukrainian music worldwide.
