Rains in Sahara, powerful hurricanes in the USA, and droughts worldwide: Ukrhidrometcenter announced climate changes.
The planet's climate system is undergoing significant changes, leading to the emergence of unusual natural phenomena for certain regions. For example, significant precipitation can be recorded in arid zones like the Sahara, which was previously a rarity. These processes are a consequence of global climate changes that disrupt the usual balance of atmospheric conditions and affect ecosystems in various areas.
«The climate system is becoming unbalanced, and unusual synoptic events may occur, which, for example, either did not occur in certain regions or the intensity of these processes is becoming greater, as we see with hurricanes in the Atlantic area», – noted the spokesperson for the Ukrhidrometcenter, Natalia Ptukha.
She recalled that not long ago, significant rains and downpours hit the Sahara, causing many problems for the region.
According to Ptukha, this also affects Europe, as rains are unevenly distributed throughout the month, or a month's worth of precipitation might fall in a few days, «meaning some processes can be more intense». Meanwhile, certain regions suffer from droughts.
Hurricane Milton reached the Florida coast with speeds over 190 km/h
Recall that earlier CNN reported that Hurricane «Milton» reached the coast near the town of Siesta Key in the American state of Florida with speeds over 190 km per hour.
Notably, Hurricane «Milton», approaching the USA, could become one of the strongest storms in the country in a century. It is expected to cause serious consequences in the state of Florida.
By the way, climatologist and expert in the field of climate change and long-term weather forecasting Vazira Martazinova earlier stated that the dust from the Sahara reaching Ukraine is a rare phenomenon, but it is subject to atmospheric circulation. Subsequently, Ukrainians should expect its return.
